A single command can convert a 3D part into a sheet metal component- complete with appropriate bends and tabs. For many complex parts, it is especially advantageous to create a solid part, then convert that into sheet metal as needed.

For assembly and part analysis, designers can use Solid Edge Simulation. It is free in Premium and an add-on for Classic and Foundation. Solid Edge Simulation leverages Femap and Nastran technology.
